Hey, what are you guys using to get dried-on bug guts off your bikes?
I've always just sprayed'em down and let'em soak before I wash the bike btu figure there has top be a better way and I'm not gonna pay (whatever) for Harley Bug Remover.
I find that S100 does a great job of removing or at least loosening up bug guts to the point that they either fall off or rub off easily after blowing the bike dry after a washing. If they are on my front end or any chrome, I just rub with windex to get them off. If they are on the paint, I take a little more care in getting them off but rarely have any trouble.
Hey buddy - yea, been real busy w/ work and school. I go to school every-other quarter so Spring and Fall are real nutz-o for me. No time to jaw about bikes, all my bike time is spent in the saddle or garage
real tough ones I throw a soaking wet towel on leave for 10 min they come right off
Same here with really HOT water and the soaking wet towel. My garage sink is 2 feet from my water heater so it's as hot as it's going to get. I've not had any problem removing bug guts, wings, carcasses, etc. I've used this method for years and it's always worked as well and usually better than any other "specialty" bug solvents or cleaners.
TR,
I use the green colored bug windshield wash. Forget who makes it. I use a lint free rag and apply. Bugs come right off. I finish the job with another lint free rag to dry. No hassle. Depending on the amount of bugs that gave up their lives so I could ride it's usually about 15-20 minutes for a clean up on the front.

Same here - works well using wet kitchen towling on the helmet visor too.
I use the hot water and towel method I always use Astro shield on my scoot and surprisingly love bugs don"t stick too well and they wipe right off when dry.
