Been busy for the past couple months but can finally hop back on the forums and say hey.
So I got my birthday present a month early (47" LCD TV), quit smoking (going on 4 weeks), fiance is pregnant (sweet!), sold the cage, transferring to San Diego (from Washington) in a week, so yeah.. things are rad right now.
The ONLY bad thing that has happened lately... I was coming up over a hill that banked into a left turn and bam! Loose sand and gravel. A dirt road veered off to the right but either way, with no traction, I couldn't turn. I slowed down as much as I could but the rear will locked instantly with even pressure (I'm sure that was my fault a bit as well). I ran outta road, and it was lay her down or go head first into a ditch. Ol' girl went down
I rolled into the landing with my head (yay helmets), over and knocked my right knee coming off. Have about a 3" dent in the tank (left side) and some scratches randomly. Straightened out the bars and rode home. Wounded pride and all.
My roommate (on a KLR) began taking pictures of the bike immediately upon our return. Coulda choke-slammed him, but I had to laugh. His recommendation was to wait until I laid it down a couple more times (I ride her hard...) and then call the insurance company. I honestly look at it as a bit of character to a badass bike. I'd be a bit embarrased to ride a completely clean, immacculate bike.
Anyway, that's all booze talkin and I have a steak waitin to be eaten.
