Actually, the State Police are checking all bikes as they come up the Northway (I-87). They have stops set up and all bikes are required to stop for inspection. They are checking license endoresements, headlights, pipes, etc. Basically, they bike gets an inspection right there and then. I watched a segment on the news Friday night, but I don't know how long they'll be doing it.

That sounds a little over the top. I know cops in Myrtle Beach usually suck but NY State seems to have taken the cake this year.
I've had some pretty damn good times up there, before I moved to SC. What could be better than being at a bike rally, partying and then being able to fish one of the best trout streams in the U.S. I'm speaking of the Ausible just north of Lake George. Maybe one of these years I'll make the 1,000 mile trek back up there.
Anyone wanna send me back some fresh smoked meat from Oscars smokehouse in Orangeburg???
