Progressive 412

I installed a set of progressive fully chromed&nbsp\\;412 hd&nbsp\\;on my 05 FXD. My problem is that they squeak, any ideas on how to get the squeak out? Thanks.

Check the upper shock mount covers.&nbsp\\; Often, when Installing the shocks, the shock mount covers rotate slightly when torqueing down the mounting bolts and they end up rubbing on the shock mount, oten cracking the shock mount cover.&nbsp\\; Setting on the bike, put your hand the shock mount covers and bounce on the seat.&nbsp\\; If that's the problem, you'll feel it on the offending cover.

I had the same problem with mine right out of the box...I e-mailed Progressive, they told me to spray WD-40 up under the covers. I did that, spun the covers a few times, went for a ride and the squeak was gone. You'll be wiping WD-40 off the shock lower for a few days, but I've been squeak-free since doing it. (over a year ago)
