Default shifter peg

The wife has a 07 lowrider.
She wants to start replacing foot pegs. OK great!
L/R done.
Shifter peg?
How do you get the peg off with out cutting the rubber or destroying the peg?

I don't think you can. I had to cut mine off my 07 LR to find out that it would take vise grips to unscrew the shaft that the rubber is glued to. If I would have used the vise grips to remove the shifter before removing the rubber, it would have torn up the rubber any way.

Actually I just put the stock pegs back on along with the shifter peg and it still looks new. Thats some tough rubber.

Did you look at the bottom side, mine has a small screw holding it in place. But then I have forward controls.

How ironic!!!! I have mid controls on an 07 FXDC and mine just fell off by itself when I was pulling into the gas station. I loctite it back on.
