It's really just an FXD with&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\;laced wheels, different solo seat , mini-apes, black engine cases, 1/2" shorter shocks, and speedo on the tank (plus the denim paint option and tank emblems). But it's amazng how different it comes across with those changes. I have to disagree with Greg above...the tank (other than the console), tire sizes,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;and rear fender are no different than an FXD.

If you are asking what was the original reason behind a Bobbed bike - then I think it was to get back to a minimalistic look with no excess baggage to make it go faster.&nbsp\\; I don't think Harley quite got there, but its got a lot less on it than a bagger!

The VIN is what makes a Street Bob. With any Harley you can do what every you want to them, but they will always be what the VIN states unless you change the frame. Then you loose the VIN and it becomes a custom build.
