Lets face it...i'm about to give up.&nbsp\\; After 3 years of neglect (actually not riding it only) i've torn into my 95 FXD.&nbsp\\; After changing the leaky head gasket, changing fluids, etc. i'm now seeing smoke out of the exhaust.&nbsp\\; Its white to blue smoke which to me is impending doom (burning oil?).&nbsp\\; The engine only has 17,000 miles.&nbsp\\; The exhaust smells like a rich burning carb (I'm using&nbsp\\;an edelbrock carb&nbsp\\;that has been a&nbsp\\;dog since i got it).&nbsp\\; Any idea's.&nbsp\\; I hate to rip into the engine completely, but will if i have to.

Top end as in gaskets only or rings, valves etc?

Do the valve seals......I'll bet that's the problem.........I wouldn't worry about rings at that mileage

On that topic, are valve seals and guides a common problem with the EVO?

My last one was new and this one was my dads that I've only had for a year or so. I'm noticing it burning oil (I dont see it in smoke, but it needs about a quart after 3-4k)..
