Default another year..another flat!

Another nail through the rear tire...2nd in 2 years...and at a cost of 349 bucks for the dealer to install a new one {06 Street Bob}, i gotta get a lift and start fixin' these myself! Man, i could think of lots of other things to spend the $$ on other than new rubber...specially when the old wasn't worn out yet! At least it didn't happen 80 miles from home....

Dont you have a local indy shop near you? You could get it fixed for about $60-$100 through an indy.......
+1 on the do it yourself plan.

See if you can find an independent shop that will just replace the tube.If not buy the tools and start replacing them yourself there's no way you should have to replace the whole tire for a nail hole.If you had tubeless you could just plug it with an automotive plug kit for about $10 and be on your way.

Bad luck bro....I've been riding for more than 20 years and have NEVER gotten a flat. Though once my laces got loose and my back tire rubbed (by wabbling) the swingarm to the point the tire busted! OK...so I guess it was a flat tire.......nevermind.

This just happened to me last Friday. I had forgotten that I selected the tire and wheel coverage on the extended service warranty when I purchased the bike. What would have cost me $330 at the dealer was all covered for free, plus I even got the 180 tire for no additional charge. Talk about an extended warranty finally being somewhat worth it.
