Talking Its Official

I traded in the Sporty for a 2009 Street Bob in Dark Blue Denim today. I put the first 40miles on it today taking it home. I had just bought a mustang seat and progressive shocks for the sporty one month ago at JP cylces and called them up to see if there was a shot in hell at returning them. Low and behold they exchanged the mustang daytripper seat for the same seat on my Bob and gave me a full refund for the shocks so basicly I used them for 30days for free then upgraded to a better bike. I absolutly love my Bob I will post pics of it tomorrow, when i bought it I also bought Screaming Eagle Slip ons and the passenger peg mounts in black. I transfered my Iron Cross and Harley Davidson Fat pegs from the sporty to the Bob and the blacked out turn signals with yellow bulbs. Now the only thing I need to be happy for a long time is a black sissy bar....So if any one has one for sale....I like the Kuryakan Raptor but would prefer a Home made Fabed in a shop by another rider version.... Any way will post pics later.

Nice ... Good for you man!!! I assume you didn't pay the difference with a "check!" :-) I have to wait 8 more days for my check to clear before I get my Fat Bob. I THOUGHT I'd be able to ride it home that day like you did! ........ Oh well ... while they clear my check I'll put more miles on my trade in! :-)

Hey ... post some photos of that bad boy when you get the chance!

I would think that's a preference by your dealer. I wrote a $20,000 check for a Corvette and drove it home.

I even asked if I needed to go get a chashiers check first. He said no, because it would be easy to prosecute you for a bad check of that amount. It's the $10-$30 checks they get burned on all the time.

Also, if your bank is in the same town as the dealer I would think a quick phone call to the bank would get you going too. In any case, it shouldn't take 8 days.
