Default Progressive shock question

I have just purchased and installed a set of Progressive 412 11 inch shocks on my '98 WG (part # 412-4005C). I knew the bike would sit low with 11 inch shocks but it is too low. My right side passenger peg hits the swingarm. I'm not sure if they are too soft, too short, or a combination of both. My question is, does anyone know if I can replace the springs with 11.5 inchers and maybe something a little stiffer? Or, do I have to replace the shocks all together? The problem I have with the latter is that the shop I bought them from will not exchange them. I thought I did my homework before buying these but apparently not.

i dont know that part but in the catalog for the wide glides they say you have to cut the fender or remove the belt guard so it misses

Call Progressive, they may take the shocks back and install the longer springs on their dime. I've read several posts about Progressive and their customer service seems to be top notch. It's worth a call anyway just to see.
