Default Left hip hurts

I am having a lot of discomfort in my left hip. My doctor thinks it is from riding my Street Bob a lot, kind of a repitive motion type thing.

Anybody have this happen to them? What's the cure?

My legs used to cramp up before I got forward controls. Are you running mids? Forwards might help...but everyone is different.

Do you have stock mid controls or forward controls? I rode my Street Bob for 3 days before I had to install forward controls due to hip pain. I still get a little pain, but nothing like the mid controls.

I HAVE CHRONIC BACK PAIN FROM DEGENERATING SPINE, DISKS- MY ANSWER= A LARGE SCRIP OF VICODEN EVERY MONTH. BARRING THAT I FOUND THE SEAT IS CRITICAL TO MY BACK/LEGS HURTING. Sorry bout the caps. I don't necessarily mean plush n soft just one that fits right.
I have mids with Highway pegs, I find on long rides the ability to switch footing position helps as well.
Even with the f'd up back I have put 22000 (by tomorrow) miles on the Fat since 11/27/07, where there is a will there is a way.

Hi, You may want to talk to Allen at Mean City Cycles, that's here on the forum, about your problem. He can do wonders with your old stock seat. Check out his happy client list.

My Sportster had a low seat and mid controls.
A very painful combination even though I have short legs (30")

Boards on both my Fatboy and my Cross Bones and even slightly forward controls on my Rocket 111 are really comfortable. No more problems.

This not cramping. I was doing a lot of city riding. Foot down, foot up, foot down, foot up. Always the left. And constant shifting. Then I was in a couple of rides where we were moving fast but in tight formation, so I was shifting a lot. ('06 Dynas have narrower power bands than other Harleys.)

I'm hoping it is just tendonitis and not a sublux.

It sounds like my case might be unique, which is good.

Add a riding positions with highway bar pegs. Had same problem with mid controls. Keep the mids as long as you have an alternate riding position.
