Hey there...have been around a short while...just got rid of the 05 1200 custom sprotster..was a blast...and have bought an 06 lowrider with 400 miles...fuel injected, basically stock...
I pick it up at the end of the month.....
some quick questions if you do not mind:
1) what do most guys pay for a stage 1 air breather install
2) I want to get some noise, but after this big purchase do not have money for the big radius I want to add...so was thinking punch baffles or put some under 200 dollar slip ons...any feedback or suggestions - I am taking bike up to Canada so noise and pollution stops are not an issue.
3) What are some seat suggestions for two up riding - I had a Danny Gray long haul on my sportster it was fantastic.....
Thanks!
Randy
congrats brother. i would recommend cycle shack slip ons they are plenty loud for me.
as for a seat i couldnt tell ya i use the stock seat with pillion pad for long hauls and a lapera barebones for solo rides
For a AC most people just pay the cost of the parts, it's easy DIY. For seats, a passenger pillion from HD is probably the cheapest way to go but a mustang seat is mighty comfy.
Congrats on your new ride. I would punch out the baffles with a piece of water pipe for a cheap fix or try the classified ads here on the forum for some used slip ons
I have the cycle shacks good bang for the buck A/C most are just buying parts install is cake but I would say you will need a tuner thats the expensive part HD download is not worth it. Seat I am running is HD pillow look stock seat is a pain in the A** literally
Congrats and welcome to the Dyna family! As a former Sporty rider myself, you're going to love your Low Rider. Ditto on the Cycle Shacks and Mustang seats. Although Mean City Cycles (http://www.meancitycycles.com/) will do a less expensive modification to your seat that most guys have said is well worth the money.
Hi I have a 07 Dyna Super Glide and I did a lot of research on this . So I come up with this package . I bought Rhine hearts slip-ons mufflers and Nightriders wides that you hook up very easy . These wires work great ! I have the stock air box that i drilled three 1/2 inch holes , and the computer will ajust the rest . I have 6,700 mile and it runs great . A little more power and a little louder. The total price was for used mufflers in great shape and new wires were $500.00 P.S This works for me and Iam happy with it just sharing what I did .
Congrats on the Lowrider, a smart choice! 1) I paid $150 for the SE Air installed. 2) I am biased on the big radius pipes (keep them in your plan for down the road). 3) I don't ride 2 up, but the stock seat hurts my butt on long hauls. I am getting a seat made by C&C with a gel pad built in. Welcome to the family!
