Default Back rest bag

Since getting my Fat Bob I've been using a back pack because I don't want to put bags on it. (The rear end with the full metal jacket shocks looks too good to cover IMO) Well wearing a back pack is getting old quick so I'm considering getting a back rest bag. I have the low detachable back rest for my Bob. I need just enough room to carry my lunch to work and carry small items. I'm not looking for a "carry all" big bag. Any suggestions?

I use a small roll bag (it's actually the top bag to a 2-piece T-bag set). I strap it on the passenger seat or on the luggage rack of my detachable. Big enough for lunch and stuff like that. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of it on the bike. It looks like an oversized tool bag.

A Tombstone Bag by Kuryakyn works well for me. Have the larger zip on back rest pad on the bag.

bikers friend bags! whatever you do you might want to go a little larger than just a lunch bag... sure would allow for some versatility in the future to carry a few extra items on a long ride or whatever.... you may not need the space most of the time but it could come in handy somedaY!

That tombstone bag will fit nicely on the passenger seat of the FB. It looks larger than it is, but may be the size you are looking for. I have seen them at several H dealers. If you local dealer has them, go by to look them over. Should be able to price on the Int. cheaper though.

Good point ... but saddle bags and the adapters needed not only cover the beauty of the rear end of the bike but also will cost me some decent dough! I over spent just by buying my Fat Bob 3 weeks ago, then i added some assessories. Now I'm buying a new two up seat because the wife won't ride on the stock passanger seat (I can't blame her) so not only am I try to not cover the rear end of the bike I'm also looking for a cheap way to carry my lunch! In this case money (or lack of money) definitely comes into play.

I use my Tombstone bag with out a passanger back rest... on a rack I made which is flat. The bag has "D" rings at each corner; the front two are used for strapping to the upper rear shock mounts and the rear two rings for strapping to the rack.

The bag also comes with side, detachable pouches which add to the storage capacity.

Is the Tombstone a Harley bag or after market?

He was talking about the Bikers Friend bag, it is not a saddle bag. It is a PVC pipe (large) covered in vinyl and acts as a back rest for the rider. You add no hardware to the bike. I have a large and love it. Takes less then a minute to remove and is easily carried into place of stay. I highly recomend them and no sissy bar is required to use. http://www.bikersfriend.com/index.html
