Hey guys,
Whats the HP rating on a stock 96 Cubic inch motor?

Bang,
so nobody knows what the BHP/Horse power of these motors are? hmm, that's interesting, I thought I was the only one.

I checked 2009 specs, and hp is not listed but tq is listed as 92ft/lbs. As bluesrider stated, the hp rating is pretty low. Around 70 or so.

Torque's the important thing anyway. Sport bikes worry about hp, Harleys worry about torque.

In some dyno charts I've seen, about 68HP and 88ft/lbs torque to the rear wheel. The specs in my owners manual state 92ft/lbs of torque, so somewhere around 70-75 I'd say. Can't find anything that states exactly what the stock HP is. Might have to go search in one of the tech forums....

I had my bike (07 fxdc) dynoed stock and was 64hp & 82tq. But not every bike is the same. Use to work in a iron foundry as a snap molder and as the process goes on the pattern actually starts to wear down causing the tolerances to change. So basically I think the first few hundred or so motors will have higher #'s due to tighter tolerances.
