Okay folks, this decision is just too tuff. I'm going through a divorce, and I will probably get a decent settlement and I will 99% sure use it on a new Harley.
Here's the problem. I have two sides to my personality.
1. Rough side, likes the Wide Glide.
2. Easy going, enjoys being comfortable, likes the Road King custom.
I guess it depends what kind of riding you plan to do. If your gonna ride hundreds of miles or go on weekend trips, the RK is the way to go. If your gonna do more around town and short trips, less than a couple hundred miles, the WG is the way to go. The RK is setup for touring. If you want to do some touring on the WG, you'll have to buy saddlebags, windshield, etc. Good luck on your decision and let us know what you get.
Wideglide... With a couple of detachables, your set for the long haul. Get rid of them and you have a great bike for local rides. It has a comfortable ride as well. You'll have to change the stock seat though...

What should I buy ?

Wide Glide gets my vote. When I got divorced in 1977 I dumped the Cadillac and got me a 65 Mustang.

Get both. I'm contemplating getting an Ultra to keep my FXD company in the garage. Love the FXD but I take a couple long trips every summer and would like the Ultra for that.
You poor thing! such a tough decision Personally, I'd love a Road King for travel but a Wide Glide is too cool. I have an 05 FXDI but can't bear to part with it because its the first new Harley I ever bought so I guess I'll have to keep it and get the Road King too. Geez, I have such a hard life. [8D]
