I was doing a little prep work tonight in anticipation of installing a TFI on my Street Bob this weekend. Taking a look at my wire harness under the seat, I noticed there is a clip left unconnected near the battery side. It looks like it has a single thick red wire going into the clip. Is this normal?
By the way, getting my fingers in to unhook/connect the injector clips looks like a b*tch even with the tank raised super high.
I noticed a phew cable ends with nothing connected. I'm not 100% sure what they are phor, but I believe at least one is a data port.
Yes it's tight getting to the injectors. But it is possible. You aren't actually pulling the injector, just the wiring that connects to the injector.
If your patient, you can get it.
Word of advice;
If it starts to pheel like it's too difficult walk away. Just leave everything as is, and walk away. Go back to it later with a new perspective.
