I have decided to hard wire the outlet. I'm installing it under my seat facing out on the left side for easy plug in access. then i am looping the charger up under the seat to the tank
protector where my iphone which has a ipod will be. Then I will be able to use my new Toy. These bad boys are completely wireless. with headphones built right in and bluetooth I can listen to tunes and answer the phone while cruising around. I will post pictures when i am done. Anyone who wishes they had tunes while riding these are the S**t. No Wires make it comfortable the headphones on this unit also hold your glasses on tight.

well first off there are two models of those Glasses 1 pair has a MP3 player built in so you would download your music like an ipod. $199.00.. The pair I bought is a bluetooth so i can talk on the phone and listen to tunes wireless. $249.00 plus you need to by a little unit $49.00 to listen to the music wireless and it has a port on the bottom to charge the phone while your listening to it. which is why i need an power outlet. Also the sound is top quality.

Harley sell a connector that plugs directly into an open connector on the stock wire harness under the seat. Its the open grey connector. This gives you three total open hot leads, the original plus two new ones. I have my license plate light hooked into this because I did not want to cut any wires. The only problem is that this line is always hot, even with the key turned to off. I have a separate swith at my license plate to turn it off/on.

Can't run a direct 12volt power into the Iphone needs to go through a car charger. I also need the outlet to be waterproof for bike washing and getting caught in the rain. Harley does'nt sell a waterproof power outlet. so i went to Kragen auto parts and found a concealled power unit that connects directly to the battery protected by a fuse 7.5 amp . I will post pictures when done.
