I am looking to install some sort of power outlet on my Fat Bob so that my ipod on my I-phone will stay charged on long trips. Has anyone installed one on there bike? pictures please.
I don't remember who, but yes people have installed 12v aux plugs. One guy rerouted his wiring on the handlebars to the left side of the frame and then put a 12v aux power on the right side. It wasn't that much to do. Wish I could remember his name because I'm thinking bout doing something like hat.
Man, this is driving me nuts. I remember the name of the post was something like "Look what I did". He had installed a 12v aux power connection into the frame grommet that usually holds wiring harness that runs into the handlebars. Looked awesome and you could barely notice it was there. it was black, which matched the grommet, the frame, etc. I've searched everywhere on the site and can't find it.
I did this on my Yamaha V-star. Just went to an auto parts store and bought the 15 dollar kit, and wired direct to my battery. Worked like a champ. Mounted it down by the side covers, sorta out of sight.

I just installed a Kuryaken power outlet on my roadking. I looks pretty nice (sorry I don't have any pics handy) and installation is easy. Price ranges from $59 to $69.
