everyone has tried different things from heatguns to solvents. I'm unaware of any of them working.

To get the grip off...Try heat, twist and pull. I sold my stock Bob bars and cables to a friend of a friend for $50. If he was a close friend I would have given them to him.

I was able to get mine off by squirting a small bit of WD40 under as much of the grip as I could lift up and then blowing compressed air under it, then just twist a bit and presto.....off

I took my ISOs off with a patient twist, and a bit of PB blaster.

It came off without damage and to re-install it after getting the slippery stuff off, I used the grip glue (about $4) from the dealer.

I've heard of the compressed air method being the most successful.

You didn't give people enough information. You said St.Bob apes and cables and lines, you failed to mention you had aftermarket braided lines. Do you have the cables to match also?

If you have braided stainless cables and brake line with a set of stock mini apes you should be able to get at least $125 -$175 for the cables and brake line and throw in the bars for free to get rid of them.
