I posted in another thread that I picked up a front wheel this weekend at the Chicago Bike show. I bought a RC Componets / Sting ray. I found the matching rear wheel at bikersimage.com but was told that 17x4.5 is not availble. But dyna wideglide uses an 18x5.5 with a 180mm tire as a replacement...I wanted to go up to a 180 anyway. Does this sound ok? Would I have any problems with this? thanks for any help

 

There are several on here who have the 18 x 5.5 on their 06 plus Dynas.
jakeiniraq and ktm scott are a couple who come to mind. I'm sure either would be glad to advise you on your wheel fitment.

18x5.5 with a 180 will fit. That's what I am running on my Street Bob.
