can anyone please tell me why H-D wants me to get all new cables when i put on a set of there 1.25'' mini apes,,,,makes no sense to me,,,bars look the same as on a wide glide 07...
don't actually want the H-D bars just the 1.25 diameter,,,
going to go aftermarket so i will not have to buy the pricey H-D risers.
also will be selling my streetslammer bars and diamondback cables this early spring,,,after installing the 3degree midglide triple trees.
I might have some mini apes... or just the stock bars from an 08 street bob (labeled as mini apes...) if interested... don't know the diameter though, lmk.

Stock mini-apes like the ones on the Street Bob are:
Diameter - 1"
Height / rise - 10"
Width - 34 1/4"
Pullback - 10"
Center - 8"
I already have the stock bars,,,i'm lookin at the same one that are on a wideglide,,,1.25....
then going to go with the Magnum Black Pearl cables,,,fehn H-D says the clutch needs to be 4'' longer,,,throttle and idl3 plus 2'' and nothin on the brake line specs,,,,
I'm glad we've got good dealers around here. They try to help and not bend you over. I installed the 1-1/4 HD apes with the 3" Stealth HD risers. I only had to bend the brake line a little on my Streetbob. Everything else worked fine.
