There's a vendor on the forum for Roadlok and you can see pics on the web site. I was impressed until I saw the prices. Damn things are expensive. The idea of paying $800 for a disk lock is beyond my comprehension.

You had better look at the website again. You're off by about 500 bucks. PM me if you want any info. Thanks.
I really don't like disc locks...if you forget to take them off before you try and ride away you risk dropping and/or damaging your bike. If your ride already has a fork lock on it I would recommend sticking with that method of security.

Thats why i was looking at this fork lock, because its attached to the brake caliper it wont wreck your bike it will just keep it from moving. (so they say...)
Also I've seen fork locks punched out frighteningly quick. I'm kind of a belt and suspenders kinda guy when it comes to my bike's safety.
I think the RoadLok looks like a damn fine product. I'd buy it for under $100, but not for the current price.
Bear in mind that bike thieves can roll up in a van with four guys and two metal pipes. Your bike can be gone in seconds and they can work on that disk lock in privacy, or just strip your bike for parts and toss out the disc if they don't want to fight with getting the lock removed.
Too bad a RoadLoK is NOT a disc lock. They dont allow any movement even if you forget its locked and try to ride off, it'll simply stall out the engine and no damage can happen. On top of that GEICO offers an insurance discount too.
Cheap on security but spending a $1000 in chrome is not objection....
Or four smart thieves would just steal the bike sitting next to yours without a lock.
What chrome? My bike is blacked out. Besides, why assume there's a bike parked next to mine? It's not Bike Week every day. That's why I keep my bike in my garage.
I haven't disparaged the Roadlok product. Just it's price. It's a fallacy to state that protection has to be expensive. For example, a DOT/SNELL rated helmet is DOT/SNELL rated regardless of its price. You can spend a lot on features, color, graphics, comfort...but that doesn't mean it protects your head any better than a less expensive helmet.
