Big Twin Compensator Question

But still a little confused. I've got a 30T sprocket already installed on my bike. Are these different components? Can anyone break out the crayons and help me here?

Aww, I think I'm just an idiot. Apparently you can get into change the spring through the primary? I was confused by some of the pics/explanations...I got it.
