the Horse BC is the only one worth a subscription but I do buy American Iron selectively depending on what is in it from month to month, HotBike too but its definitely the worst of the three (nice FXR in it this month though)
I read the horse every month. Just bought my first issue of cycle source and the whole issue (almost) was on sporties. Chopping, welding on hardtails, history of models and engine mods, etc. Works out great since my buddy is returning from overseas next week and plans on chopping his 01' sporty. Hot Bike normaly isn't my thing but they do feature alot of badass modded dynas here and there.
Try reading "O" magazine
Same cow on the cover every month.
American Iron Magazine has excellent technical articles that apply across the board. Also some nice features. The only thing I don't like are the women columnists. They are too over the top.
This magazine is sold at newsstands (eg Barnes & Noble bookstores) so you can see an issue before subscribing. A year's subscription is much cheaper than buying on the newsstand.
I've read them all over the years. AI is good I guess...they feature a dyna once in a blue moon. They did one couple years back that I copied alot from for my bike. Far as the ads..yea but that can be good too, far as knowing what resources are out there. The Horse BSC is ok I was getting them monthly when they first came out. They used to be topeless but then they woosed out. They used to be holier-than-thou if you didn't build your bike in your garage with you own hands you weren't **** but they seemed to have toned that down...I get it occassionally. I read Hot Bike's "Baggers" now to be honest (doesn't help the dyna owners). I let my suscription to AI lapse but they keep sending it to me.
