Has anyone tried black chroming parts yet?What was the cost compared to regular chrome and how well does it hold up?

tomato did a bunch of parts... you can do it in powder as well but it takes alot of prep work and base coats using dorment/candy over coats and 150% clears... you can do it but it cost you in the amount of work that goes into getting the results your looking for

 

Hey I used Black Chrome about 3 yrs ago it just started getting big, I used to get my foot controls and hand controls made from a company called XOPRODOX and they just had starting getting my stuff in black chrome it looked great it was real pricey back then so I didnt do to many was adding alot of $$ to my foot controls and no one wanted to buy them.. anyway I kept one set for my chop and my buddy had a set too they held up pretty nice they gave a nice look something diff then Black Ano or Powder you know.. To me I am just not into it I feel its played out but if you like and your gonna do alot of parts then I say go for it. As for price its the same as chrome now and just make sure you go to someone who has been doing it and has samples and that you know will do a good job..
