Default hole plug ideas?

I'm relocating my license plate to the axle. I'm done with the mods this season so I don't feel like welding up holes left behind on the fender yet. I went to the stealer and was told there are no black HD plugs that size. I'm thinking about painting some short carriage bolts. Any other ideas out there?

They are wrong. You can get HD plugs for at least three of the four holes left behind by your absentee plate. I don't have part #'s but a good parts guy can figure it out. I haven't been able to find a parts guys good enough to find an HD plug for the small hole, though.

I kind of thought that was the case at the dealer as he didn't spent much time looking. But, he did go look, which tells me he wasn't sure.

I went with one of these:

$19.99 and plain style / no glitter. Why not give it try?

This is what I did. I didn't want random black pins or bolt heads showing so I just used this gas cap cover thing from the stealer. Kuryakyn makes covers too but they are kind of flashy for my taste.
