Brothers and Sisters...want to change out both my front and rear turn signals to LED bulbs. I know I'm gonna need load equalizers, but do i need one for the fronts signals and one for the back signals?
Also planning to put in the run/turn/brake module, and already have the tri-bar LED rear light...if any of these matter in the consideration of load equalizers...
Custom Dynamics sells a complete LED turn signal kit... only includes 1 load equalizer. Since I got the Tri-bar LED tail light I've been thinking about adding this kit.
My mom had a load equilizer go bad the other day. We where running down the road, I was riding behind her. All the sudden there was an instant smoke screen. Fortunately everything else was ok, but the load equilizer burned throuh its own rubber harness and was working on the next one. Ordered a new one from kurykyn.
I run the Badlander 3 also. You have to use a module or you will get a security system fault code and the key light wont turn off. Also, use di-electric grease on the connections for it. I had a bad connection caused by moisture and it wasn't working properly but now it is.
I just took all the blinkers off my bike, but if you think that stops me from turning, you're sadly mistaken.
Figured the Street Bob is Harley's version of a bobber, so why not do what the name implies. So I have removed the blinkers, horn, front fender (and soon the rear fender - ala Bosken style). My plan is if I don't need it to either stop or go, it's coming off my bike. Actually, I might even take that back as I have been looking at my front brake thinking I don't really need that either -- my last bike didn't have a front brake and I survived, so why should this one be any different?
I'm even thinking about taking the paint off and going bare metal like that rockin FXR in the movie Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Thanks for your help.
Got all of my LED stuff from Custom Dynamics. Well made and good quality. An equaliser from Biketronics (BT801 Smart Equaliser) is compact and made especially for HD 01 and later, fits neatly under the seat of my Fatbob. You only require one of these, and because it is an electronic gizmo it generates virtually no heat. It is also plug and play.
Colin.
