I have one of those 5 x 8 lawn trailers sold at that tractor place. The trailer is rated at 2000 pounds with 13 inch wheels, and the sticker on the side says not to load more than 1625 pound. Here is my queston for you good people, I would like to trailer two Dynas and would like to know if any body has done this?
I pull my 06 FXDI and the wife's 06 XL1200C on a 5' X 10'. The chock for my bike is 6" from the front on the left. The chock for hers is 18" further back on th right. It is a tight squeeze. I bought the trailer for one bike, but she got to bitchin about riding on mine and got evicted, so now we have two.
There is just enough room to do them with 18" of offset side-by-side. There ain't two feet left between the back of her bike and the trailer's tailgate. I don't think I would be comfortable trying to tie down both of em on a 5' X 8'.
+1 On that... back on on and pull one on... they will fit... get 2 nice wheel chucks and strap the heck out of them... just do NOT strap them to eachother... you will be fine though... i used that same trailer to take a bagger and sporty to their owners in Southern Mo... worked no problem, try nd get as much weight forward as possible, if not you will get snake action out the the trailer something FIERCE! i also replaced the tires with nice heavy'r tires
you may have to weight the toungue of the trailer, if you offset the bikes. the tongue weight should be about 10 to 15% of the trailer weaight. I just put a running shoe on the trailer foot and then set it on my bathroom scale to weigh it.
