Question security question

hey everyone new guy here first post. i found a relearn prcedure for marrying a new tssm to my bike in the tech fourms but the dealers tells me the only way to do it is have them do it with their computers. does anyone know if it will work on my bike(2009 fatbob) or is the dealer just blowing smoke?any info would be greatly appreciated.

On the older security fobs (the ones with the button) it was a fairly simple installation. The '09s only come with the proximity fob, and those require access to some computer programming that the good folks at the motor company don't let out of their sight. I think you are going to be stuck paying the dealership for this one.
