Default Vibration

I just took the first ride of the season. And i have a bad vibration just off idle. Im thinking it might be because it is cold. It was a short ride through town. Maybe when it warms out side it wont be as bad.

My bike always rides rough until completely warmed up. Ride it 20 minutes minimum and put some fresh fuel in it.

How old is the gas and did you put stabilizer in the fuel when you parked it? As mentioned, putting new gas in it will probably solve the problem. My MC always runs bad after sitting for a few months. I also run a little carb. or fuel injector cleaner through every few tankfuls. I can't say I notice any real difference in performance after adding the cleaner with my motorcycles but really do with my cars. I figure it can't hurt.

Try 2-3 oz of Chevron Techron with a full tank of fuel.

I put (2) washers which totaled about 3/16" in thickness between the front mtr mount and the frame as described in another thread. Very significant reduction in vibration, nearly none at all when cruising around 3K. Great, simple, modification.

I would read a bit more, because folks are getting good results from adjusting ALL the motor mounts. Some have reported adverse handling after shimming.
