Yeah man, we all get it... there was a thread a few weeks ago about this. Lotta complaints about it, and not one single solution. So, I guess its just there.. lol I have no idea man.
Does anyone else hear a tinking when your in too low of a gear and accelerating
almost sounds like a pea in a coffee can or a hey jingling on a frame
i get this whenever i accelerate and im not in the right gear
No clue what the hell a "hey jingling on a frame"is but you answered your own question..."when your in too low of a gear and accelerating"...think that may be the problem?
Yes. Has been addressed in other threads. My "tink" happens upon acceleration in any gear. Still no answer. This "tinking" and the rattling of the exhaust guards are the two complaints about my Fat Bob.
By too low a gear do you mean you low engine speed and accelerating? If you do I get that and am pretty sure it's detonation (pinging). I get it a lot climbing the hill to my house if I'm in the wrong gear.
I had my tuner tune it out. Its pinging. It would drive me crazy when under load or grabbing a handful of throttle in a higher gear. When he ran it on the dyno it also showed pinging in both cylinder's. He retarded the timing to eliminate it. I would find a good tuner in your area and get them to have a look. The dealer's I went to all said its normal no pinging (once you buy the bike they have an acute case of hearing loss), I was lucky to find the same tuner Mud used. Please check before you do it that nothing is loose exhaust covers, jiffy stand etc.
