Not too many places carry the leather one but may special order (just get the part number from lerpera) otherwise you can call Christine Lepera and order direct, same with custom covers etc.

Thanks for the info. What do you think is the best one to get? Leather or vynal?

Not to be rude but it's "vinyl" Anyway, it depends on how thick the leather is. A good grade vinyl will have 1000 hours wear time. (Naugahyde) *** rubbing time. A poor leather (like from India?) can be stretched from the factory to be paper thin and doesn't last. A good leather (3-4 oz 1.1 MM) will last for many years although the dye may rub off over time, and can be re-dyed.

Smile Lepera seat

Just wondering how comfortable these seats are. I ride an 06 S/B with the stock set and forward controls. I am trying to find out which seats are the most comfortable. I am thinking about the Sundowner from harley. I see alot about these Lepera. I ride about 150 to 200 miles on a weekend. Do these remain comfotable or do they get rock hard after riding awhile. I do not stop a lot just maybe for fuel and beverage. I like the looks of the Lepera, low profile but I also like the back support of the sundowner. The sundowner is listed for around 200 with tax, have not checked out the lepera prices. Any info helpful.

The bare bones is exactly what it says it is - good for around town but not the best for long trips (although I've done a few and it's still tolerable). The silhouette / silhouette deluxe is definitely better (with the gel) for longer trips so I would go that route with the mileage you put on. I'm sure there are other people with different opinions but these work for me (use bare bones most of the time but slap on the silhouette when I know I'm headin far)
