Default handlebar question

l would like to run these 4 wires through my handlebars, the only reason l want to do this is that l think it will tidy up the front end, right now for the question if l drilled through the bolt that holds the handlebars(see second pic)will it weaken the bolt,l don't want to accelerate and end up with the bars in my lap,lol
any info much appreciated

You could maybe drill through them bolts but it would be a pain in the @ss and it would make em weak! I would not try that!

Maybe run the wires through the bar and risers and come out the side of the risers down close to the trees, like the T-bars.

You could never drill a hole big enough for all those wires, nor would you want to. Just bring the wires out the bottom of the bars under the riser clamp and bundle them from there. Just having them in the bars makes a world of difference on the looks.

Looks like you added risers without installing longer wires/cables, so they're already stretched. Not sure you'll find enough slack to bring them to the center of the bar between the clamps and down. Don't drill anything until you confirm if there's enough wire to do it. And for gods sake...don't try to drill out that bolt.

+1...won't work, take a look at the size of the riser bolt.

well doing an internal wire is easy... maybe if you where to get rid of alot of the wire covering and then bore out the riser and the top tree to get a thicker bolt in there it would work but other than that... it will not... you can however run them internally, that is just a simple internal wire job ... i did a set of bars this weeknd man... here is a write up on how to do it... it is a fairly simple job man, but can get nerve racking... if you have any ?s let me know!
