Default Short Shot standard baffle question

OK, I had the bought a set of Shortshots with quiet baffles. I am going to go back to the standard baffle and I noticed when I removed the quiet baffles they were wrapped. My question is do the standard baffles need to be wrapped before installation, and if so what is recommended. I am sure this is a rookie question but had to ask.. Thanks all!!

That's the main difference between the std and Q baffle: the Q is wrapped. The other difference is the "butt plug" on the std baffle is drilled.

So to answer your question, no, the std baffle does not need to be wrapped. It didn't come wrapped.

NB: If you want a loudness level somewhere in between the std and Q baffle, just unwrap your Q baffle.

DO NOT unwrap the quiet baffles. It wasn't designed to work properly without the packing. Tried it, sounds like open pipes but worse. Get the BCTs like Joe said. They kick all kinds of azz.
