I just picked up a Memphis Shades quick detach model for about $180 new from Dennis Kirk. I love it. No apes but an 05 wide glide with stock bars.
It has chromed hardware. I much more prefer the clear over the smoked...especially if you do any riding at night

I wasn't ready to commit to a windshield but a buddy of mine convinced me to get one before a trip we went on so I got this one.

For $55 bucks It is very nice. I can take it off the bike in about a couple minutes and it really isn't all that noticable when its on. You can adjust it about every direction and it was great a life saver in the rain.

Would it work with the factory mini apes on a street bob?? That looks like a very good little shield at one hell of a price. If it will work with the apes I'm sold!

Get a roll bag for the bars. It'll work as a windshield and storage.

I also liked the look of the memphis products, but I ended up with the HD sport shield, Very easy to use and fits the bike well.

Yeah it is adjustable so many ways it would work with just about any bars unless they are the fat ones. I think they only fit the 1 inch bars.

I have a compact 'shield for x-country trips. No matter where I position it on the forks, from low to hi, above 70mph, the buffeting, turbulent wind is very annoying. I would have purchased the black anodized hardware version, but it was not available here back in December. About to order a "laminar lip" to apply to it B4 my next X-country.

I prefer clear rather than smoked shields to minimize the (to me) obnoxious looks of add-on windshields.
