If I were Harley I would cut tons of product lines. Streamline the manufacturing process but increase the accessory market. Why offer a Street Glide when you can essentially start from an EG and get there?
The people who are buying HD will buy regardless. Time to get very efficient now. And then in a couple years when the economy is stronger, release a bunch of new models and let that pent up demand go crazy.
Bah hahaha! What are you doing here? So, you can't get info from the Prez or Deric because you were banned from the store for messing with that rubber button cover?
Haha. Levi ended up selling that bike (Deluxe). I hope they fixed the button I broke!
I don't think they'll come out with a bunch of new models. At the most maybe 2 new ones. The market is flooded with newer used bikes and more and more people are buying used. I figured when they started to lay-off a bunch of their employees, the rumor of all these new models went down the drain. Just about all my local dealers are packed with new bikes and I cant see them sticking 4 or 5 new models in there!
Yup, they'll eliminate a few favorite models, add one or two new ones and try to sell whatever overstock they have. Then in 2011 or 2012 they'll bring back some of what they eliminated. The Wide Glide and perhaps the Lowrider (if they shelf it). It's all about moving those bikes off the showroom floor, and they still got plenty of older ones to move.
The new 2010 Dyna's will have 150cc single cylinder engines. They will be watercooled, and shaft driven. They will get 80 mpg, be so quiet you can't tell they are running, and the exhaust that comes out of them will smell like fresh flowers. Also pigs will fly.

They must be getting a full load shipment at my dealer because the only Dyna they have on the floor is an 08' Duracell like yours? Not too many Dynas to move, just Baggers and Sloptails.
CB
No insult intended, I like the 105th bikes.
