Default Well crap....

...new tire time. Was checking the bike out after doing a little work this morning in prep for some riding, and knowing my rear tire was getting down there, I took a little more time inspecting it.... glad I did. I can see belting showing through in two places.

Damn, and it is such a nice day out..

Well better get a new one coming in pronto.....

How many miles? I'm approaching 5000 on mine and both tires still look like new.

Just rolled over 7K....

... and I've kept them at good pressures. Front still looks great, rear is toast. Yeah, I like to gas her a bit but don't we all? 7K seems a little soon, even for a sports tire. Makes me wonder about the alignment from the factory....

You should stay out of the BURNOUT pits. Got 14k out of my OEM's.

I just had a fresh metzeler put on the rear saturday. I probably average around 5-7k before changing them out! But I'm not one to run every last bit of tread off of them either. I'll tell you one thing though, prices are going up big time for tires! I checked Drag Specialties and they wanted $262 for a 180/55zr/18! I ended up getting one for $208. I gotta start letting up on the throttle!

Glad youre getting a new one. It always amazes me that people will spend boo coos on chrome (which couldnt prevent them from getting killed) but wont buy a new tire.
