I may try a 1.5" tank lift as well this summer.... not sure that will do anything though.... low on the priority.
Rich, to be perfectly honest with you, when I put my tank lift on it made it worse. I tried every which way to adjust that fu**in thing one saturday and the best adjustment was to remove it and now it sits under my work bench.

Yeah, was wondering about that..... the buffeting I get is from the airstream coming up around the outside of the tank, and up my legs. The tank lift would not do much for that.

With the Hd qd w/s, the memphis lowers fixed at least 95% of the buffeting.

Man I thought that I had is solved with the tool bag, but my new seat moved me back some and now I am right back in the air-stream again. What happened is my knees moved down a bit and that is where I get most of it from. I would like to see how the lowers look myself.

I went to the touring windshield and buffeting was gone....put on sundowner seat, moved me a bit and now I am back in it...
Hate the looks of the memphis lowers..but that is me....is there anyone that makes chrome lowers like on a touring model....
Or is there something that goes under tank to flare wind away...when I put my arm across chest, wind buffet is gone. Had to go to goggles because the sunglasses just rattled and blurred vision....now nose gets itchy after a while from shaking/vibrating so much.....need lowers!!!

I do not have a picture with them on. Honestly they do not look that good to me, but in the winter I do not care what it looks like, I just want to keep the cold wind off me.

Here is a picture, but it is not of my bike.

I've toyed with the idea of fabing some quick detach mounts for the chrome bagger lowers, similar to the QD hardware of the windshield.

As to something under the tank, I took a bagger fork air baffle and modified it to fit:

I still get some buffeting, but not nearly as bad as it was....

Here's the forward tilt archer is talking about. This got rid of most of it, but I just hate the look of the windshield on my bike. Also put the windshield as low to the head light as you can and just play on with it till you're as happy as you can get. I do have a scorpion full face on the way for them bugs that archer mentioned also since we live in the same place and I've been running without my shield.

+++1!
I have a big Harley clip-on windshield, buffeting so bad as to blur my vision. I can't imgine this torture for any length of time. I ride with a full face for max highway comfort.
Get a bagger.
