See if you can tilt the windshield forward in the top mounts:

add a 1.5" to 2" tank lift:

increase the size of your headlight to a 7"

Add a modified fork air baffle from a bagger:

I've done all but the tank lift..... buffeting is not all that bad now.

Yep, had the same problem. I lasted about 20 minutes before I about threw the windshield into the ditch. Don't think I'll ever buy one again.

Put 1K miles on the bike last weekend.... it's not all that bad now.

I really needed to find a solution to run w/windshield, because here in the farmland central, it just gets nasty...

I may try a 1.5" tank lift as well this summer.... not sure that will do anything though.... low on the priority.

The bufetting only gets noticeable at over 82 mph with my compact WS and half helmet. But my full face is in the mail and we shall soon find out.

I did the same thing.

You can cut the buffetting down with adjustments but hard to get rid of it. I had mine down pretty minimal but when I went with a 12 inch shock on the back it was bad again. I tried to get it cut back down but no matter what I did the Full face without the windshield was better.

When I had my Vulcan 1500 i put on a pair of Memphis Shade lowers. Cut out 95% of buffeting. Dont have them on the Wide Glide and I do get some buffeting with my windshield on but not real bad.

A fork bag helps, at least it did for me. I did not realize how much it helped until I rode without it on the interstate last week. I had to goof around with the positioning of the shield before I could find a spot that was tolerable. I still prefer having the windshield on for interstate travel even with a little annoy buffeting. No way I could stand 6 or 700 mile days without it.

Edit: I also add the Memphis Shades lower during the winter months.
