Not a good idea to cut the struts off if you want to carry someone around with you.Cutting the fender is EZ just cover the area to be cut with tape first and mark it with a pencil where to cut and JUST TAKE YOUR TIME!

If you're going to be carrying a passenger I would leave the struts alone. That is just my opinion though.

hack away! leave enough to support the weight! wether you cut off 3 in from the back or not that is not supported, does not matter... measure out where she will be sitting... hack off anythign back from that. I hope she has a one hander booty so that you can cut it down, it looks dope all hacked up

might want to fab some kind of internal fender support. stock fenders are kinda thin. i kept the full lenth on the strut because the wife does ride on occasion. i'm also able to put on a detachable sissy bar and rack.

i used a jigsaw with a fine tooth metal blade. double tape the fender, trace your line until your happy with it then cut away. clean it up with a small sanding disk. i also cut a few inches off the front fender the same way. you can also use a grinder with a cutoff wheel but the jigsaw is kinda foolproof.

just used regular painters blue or green masking tape. it gives good protection and doesnt leave a residue if removed within a day or so. i use 2 layers on the fender and also a layer on the base of the jigsaw.
