How far out does the the combination of QD and EBrackets put the saddle bags? I have a set of Harley Dyna hard bags and would like to go with a quick release set up. Anyone with good pictures and comments?
These are Ghost Brackets but they are about the same.
Yeah, I tried them and from the rear they look like yours. But I couldn't handle how far out they looked like from the front. Reminded me of training wheels. Still looked for something else before starting over.

i had hd qd backrest and easy brackets... I didnt have a problem when the bags were on the bike, but when they were off you have those mounts sticking off the strut like 1.5-2.5 inches or more...
Recently sold the hd qd sideplates and mount and want to go with haulen *** backrest... To eliminate some of the stuff sticking off the strut.
ARCHERGOODWIN has a picture of them with the bags off. They stick probably about an inch. Send him a PM if he doesn't get to this which I'm sure he will soon.

This is how far they stick out, with no bags mounted:
The rear sticks out 1.75" to the tip, from the fender strut cover.
Thanks for the pictures and comments. I may wait and see if I can get a used set of Easy Brackets or such. Hate to buy new and then decide that I don't like them. I do want the QD for the bar.
