You could put a couple of "S" hooks between the quick detach bracket and the nut on the windshield and change the angle. Put it on the top to tilt the windshield forwards, or bottom to tilt it back. Either that or make your own out of some light flatbar. You shouldn't need it to be too long. 1/2 to 3/4 "

There is another post kicking around with some pictures of it. Could solve some of the buffering?

472 - The lowers look good but that's where my front signals are.

Heywood - Where are the pics? I'd like to see how it's set up.

The S hook idead and pics are buried in the "under $50 section". I used flat stainless links to do the same thing. By raising/lowering the lower clamp and articulating the link, you can get a pretty wide range of angle adjustment. Tilting mine back definitely reduced the turbulence.

I have a Memphis Slim 15". I wish it were a little shorter because I am short but I am reluctant to go to their 13" "Sport Shield". For the most part I look over the shield (barely), although if I'm slouching or going up hill, I am looking through it.

With the shield I have, I don't think I get buffeting, (if I understand what buffeting IS) - what I DO get is a lot of wind around my face, which is fine, I like that (and why I don't understand people who say they don't like shields becuase they don't get any wind, or people who have shieds and say they don't get ANY wind with their shield ????) I don't have the pressure against my chest which is great! What I'm not crazy about is the wind in my ears. Once in a while on a long trip I'll use earplugs.

Mine's detachable, but I hardly ever take it off anymore.Every time I do I regret it.

What is the advantage for going shorter?

DGDyna,

In my situation (I won't speak for Perch but I bet this is true) I like my view of the road as clear as possible. I dislike looking through a windshield so for me a short windshield is best since it lets me look over it. Before I altered the angle of my windshield I was only barely able to look over it even in it's lowest setting.

So, for me a low windshield is best. Others prefer to look through the windshield, in which case they would want a taller one.
