Default Custom tips off the headers

My buddy has an 04 superglide and he loves loud exhaust. He is running open headers until he can decide what he wants to do for his exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has put on custom tips or bought tips that could mount on the end of the header pipes. i thought this would be an interesting idea and wasn't sure if anyone has done that. Any ideas, suggestions and input at all would be great. Thanks

i have a 04 road king woth drag pipes and no baffles and had no problems with them for 15,000 miles, so i can't imagine that it would be bad. changing the air cleaner without a remapping or a power commander is where the problem would be.

He is running it right now wide open from the header and has had no problem. We were just thinking of putting some custom tips to dress it up a little. He doesn't run 2up often at all so the power is still plenty.

He has been running them for a while. They don't sound that bad to me. They have a nice crack to them, just need something to finish the look off. I have seen a bunch of tips on ebay, just thought it would be a different idea.

go for it. get some chrome turnouts from autozone and wrap the rest of the pipe. thinking about doing that myself but make a baffle to give some back pressure.

How about the Mordor tips from crime scene choppers? They are pretty unique looking.
