Any one looked in to new tires for their Street Bob? I do not feel the stock Dunlop’s ware very well. I have used Dunlop’s elite 11 on bikes before and have gotten good mileage on them. (15,000 to 18,000) But they do not make them so far, in a 160/70b17. I don’t think I will get much over 10,000 on the stock rear.
I think all 06 Dyna's have the 160. You might get a few more bites if the thread had a diff. title. Just a thought. At 6300miles on mine the tires do look pretty good. So yeah after 10,000 tires will be an issue. I might go with the SE 180 dunlop or a metler or something.
Yes, I’m not on a crouch rocket. I have gotten that milage for years with Dunlop 491's or Michelin commanders. I have had no problem in cornering, braking and or in the rain. Tried Avons once got about 12,000.

Hard tires have poor traction. You really want 15-18k miles on your tires? That means poor braking and cornering.
3k on this tire squaring off already grrr.RWP let me know what you decide with for a harder compound tire.bike wil have prob less then 12k on it and thru 2 tires.
