RE: 2006 Dyna Saddlebag Supports
I found the same thing a few weeks ago when I was looking for saddlebag supports for an 06 Dyna -- NOTHING! I gave up and went on Ebay and bought a leather barrel bag to mount to the luggage rack. I paid $12.99 + $8.00 shipping. Check out this seller on Ebay - onthegoldenpond - they sell lots of leather biker related stuff and their prices are great. A lot of the items are the patchwork style of leather, which is hard to see in some of their pictures. I like it, but some may not. I was going to get a Biker's Friend bag, but a large one is over $200 bucks, and I can't really benefit from the backrest feature too well anyway since I have a solo seat with no sissy bar.

I think you can install big saddlebag if you can manage to relocate the turn signal...
me i went for Dyna throw bag, they dont need support kit because theyre small... but ill install some when i get a chance.
Mine are solidely attached.
Slim bags meant for Dyna 99-06 and very low profile.

RE: 2006 Dyna Saddlebag Supports
I purchased from jp cycles a bracket. It did not fit. When phoned jp said brackets not yet produced for 06 dyna. I plan on using my slant bags with out the bracket. Diane in another post had concerns of bags rubbing against the rotor. This is a legitamate concern.

Definitely a cause for concern -- After I put my compact slant bags on there, they looked OK -- like they were clear of the rotor. However, after a few rides and further examination, they were making some contact along the way and getting scraped. I just couldn't seem to adjust them so they were clear of the pipes and the rotor.

Well after about 50 miles I've realized that a good way to bugger up you bike are throwover bags without a support bracket. The bags did slightly hit the rotor, and I could imagine chain gaurd finally wearing through to bare metal. I have tried several different mountings; attach to upper and lower shock, tied over rear turn signal, mount to swingarm. Does anyone have any knowledge when or if a bracket will be available.
