Got my shocks installed last nite.Pretty easy install,it's just a pita to get the bike up on that wobbly *** Sears lift by yourself and then you have to wedge a board under the wheel to lift the wheel back up.Also added a laydown taillite.
I like the stance, actually more difference than I expected. These are the heavy duty shocks which Progressive recommended for my 230 lb lard ***. Started out on third setting and it was like riding on a rock, went back to setting one(softest) and the ride was perfect. Rode about 50 miles last nite, sought out some rough roads and no bottoming out and ride was good.
Can't wait til my C&C seat comes in then I'll be pretty much done.Except maybe a PCIII and then I have been wondering how it would look with a little bit longer forks and..........(maybe I'm not almost done).
Mine must be also on the third position, I think they all come this way from the factory. I have been trying to figure out which way to turn it to get it softer. Can you advise please!
Oh,let me think. If you're standing at the back of the bike looking down, you turn the cover clockwise for harder ride, the handle of the spanner wrench will be pulling from right to left to stiffen the ride. You can tell by looking at the shock. On setting three about 3/4 inch of the lower shock is exposed,on setting one the shock is almost covered.
i just got my 412 progressive (11") installed about 30 minutes ago. cost me only 20 bucks to have it installed
Now my bike gets closer to a chopper look.
The suspenssion is kinda rough though. I didnt like the ride back home.
So im going to set it to 1 tic softer than factory.
Does anyone know how to read the setting ? im wondering what would happen if the left side is set harder than the right side
Cuz i dropped the wrench by accident while trying to lower the right shock.... Im affraid the right shock is 1 tic lower than the left one didnt pay attention

Just turn'em both all the way counter clockwise, that'll be the softest setting and adjust from there. There's five settings.
