Hey JRK - I just checked motorcycle-superstore.com ...you can get the Metzler 880 combo of
R - 170/60/17
F - 110/90/19
for $272.98 with free shipping
They have the Pirelli Night Dragons too. You can get
R - 180/60/17
F - either 120/70/19 or 100/90/19 (seems the night dragons dont come in a 110/19)
for $268.98 with free shipping.
Have you thought of going with the Night Dragon rear (180/60/17) with the Metz front (110/90/19)? seems like the best of both worlds (other than the mix and match issue)....you could have that set up for under $280......

m glad someone brought up the mixing tire brands issue (if there is an issue). I didnt wanna ask for fear of feeling like a dumb-***.
When I changed to the 21 front I went with the Dunlop because there was a 200 available. However, I found that the 200 wasnt gonna work due to clearance issues I didnt wanna deal with.
Thinking about the Pirelli 180, but wasnt sure about the mixing Pirellis and the Dunlop.

so here is what i did... i got Metzerl, 170 rear and the 120 v rod front tire. I talked to several guys that run the 120 on the stock st bob rim so I am going to give it a try... we also have a 110/90/19 in stock so if the 120/70/19 does not fit i can pull it right off and go with the 110, the size is not so much the reason, my worry is the side wall... i slammed my fender so low i do not want to have to re do it... so we will see some time next week when i slap on the new rubber. I have to pull my wheels apart to add the platnum powder to the spokes, so it will take me a few days..
