I have never had a windshield on my Streetbob but I am starting to look into it. I was the only guy in my group that went to Sturgis this year that didn't have one. Let me tell you what, I was a tired pup by the time we go to the campground.

I say go for it!! Get a quick-disconnect model that doesn't leave any hardware attached to the bike. Use it for trips and then take it off for short rides. You can just laugh at the guys that pick on you when you hit hail in the middle of nowhere.

 

having a windshield with apes is kinda like wearing heels with full army fatigues on. it just doesnt fit. i know, i know, im in my 30's. maybe when ive "matured" like alot of you, ill change my mind. but for now, a windshield will never be on my dyna! never!

 

Yea I prefer the look of my bike without the windshield and is why I ride 98% of the time without it but for a long ride like the Ironbutt back in May there is no way in hell I would do it without the windshield. Love the quick detach.
