Your fork stem is probably improperly adjusted and torqued. If still under warranty, the dealer can take care of it very quickly. If out of warranty, look in your manual (or get a manual) and follow the steps for the "fall-away" test and fork stem adjustment.

One other frequently cited cause of this is loose tank mount bolts. In my case the rear mount bolt that anchors the tank to the frame was never installed. Put in a bolt, tightened it up and the fork noise was gone.
