Default Rolling burnouts

I'm at the end of the season with my back tire so tried a few burnouts...no problem getting the rear tire to spin, but it skids the locked up front wheel...rear tire too sticky when it's warm??? More rev's needed??? I'm in first gear, if that matters. The "rolling" burnouts are easy; would like to make a happy face on the pavement , though. (With the rear tire, of course)
All stunts attempted on a closed course.....

Every so often I'll come across a thread that makes me wonder why I own a Harley. Think I'll take the beemer for a spin today...no plans to burn up a tire, but might try to grind down the footpegs.

Sounds like a good project for a shot tire.

Picture requested for the finished piece of asphalt art.

I haven't done this, but here's a guess........

**** the front tire a bit to one side.

I'm guessing that may increase resistance against skidding forward.

Or, maybe lay a 2x4 in front of the front tire.

The more I type here, the more I want to see a video.

I always pulled up to a wall when I wanted to waste a back tire.

i do them... i do them alot lately as i got a brand new tire waiting to go on... i lock up the front brake and then dump the clutch... the powder pulley really helps to get her spinning... either that or if i am doing a slow roll i dump the clutch and lean a bit forward, it will really get that sucker smoking up! i love it... been trying to teach the wife to do hers as well now that we both need new tires, i want a picture of us smoking them both out next to eachother... cool wall art!
I am not sure what i dump at, i will have to watch the tach next time, i listen more to the motor that that "spot"
when i ride with Chad, all he does is TWIST! ha ha ha
roast that sucker up man... i will snap a pic this weekend of us destroying what is left of our rubber!

Maybe get a couple of guys to hold the rear then walk the bike around to make the face.

Sounds like a cool idea. Post a picture of the finished pavement.

On the Dyna, I do rolling burnouts from almost every stopsign and stop light. Pi$$es the wife off a little 'cause she thinks it is irresponsible behavior. I don't know why, but I just enjoy doing them. I have not tried a stationary burnout since I was a kid, but the way I would do it is to park the front wheel against the garage door of a neighbor that you do not particularly care for (at about 2:00 in the morning), rev it up to about 5000 RPMs, and dump the clutch. Take it trhu all 5 (or 6) gears, and then after the house light all come on, take off like a bat outa hell.
